Barreling toward Palisades Tahoe on a course paralleling a forecasted cold snap, the annual multi-site WinterWonderGrass Festival may live up to its name – bringing a lineup full of roots and bluegrass music to snowy stages and several after hours venues from April 5th-7th.
Headlined this year by The Infamous Stringdusters, Paul Cauthen, The Devil Makes Three, Sierra Ferrell, Kitchen Dwellers, The Lil Smokies and WinterWonderWomen, the festival will feature nearly two dozen performers over several stages, often with performers playing multiple days to ensure attendees won’t need to miss some favorites in lieu of others on the schedule.
WinterWonderGrass is run with an ecologically sustainable ethos, aiming to eliminate landfill waste at their events, as well as being at the forefront of featuring women musicians on their bills. 2024 has already seen the festival hit the snowy slopes of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and will take to the Palisades Tahoe area where the event has occurred since 2015.
Following the main festival, nightly events will take place in smaller venues in the Palisades area, allowing attendees a chance to see the performers in more intimate settings, along with free events taking place daily in the resort plaza.
