Tinsley Ellis onstage, backstage

With his freshly printed CD, “Get It!,” Atlanta bluesman Tinsley Ellis came to Tahoe July 29 for a show in the Crystal Bay Casino Red Room. Before the show, Ellis talked about performing live and what he did to help a pair of aspiring blues players, Jonny Lang and Derek Trucks, when they were teenagers. Ellis, bass player Ted Pecchio and drummer Erik “Jazzy Skins” Kaszynski perform “A Quitter Never Wins” and “Devil for a Dime.”
