Larry Sabo / Tahoe Onstage
Dead of winter will be a great time at Lake Tahoe. Terrapin Flyer with Melvin Seals will perform Tuesday, Feb. 5, in BLU Nightclub at the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.
The musicians will be on their 2019 Mardi Gras tour and the exact lineup for Terrapin Flyer is apt to include surprise appearances.
Players include Tom Constanten, a member of the Grateful Dead from 1968-1970; Joe Chirco, drummer from the Zen Tricksters and David Nelson Band; bassist Janis Wallin from Steve Kimock’s Crazy Engine; singer Kara Cavanaugh; lead guitarist Josh Olken; ex-Dark Star Orchestra bassist Mike Hazdra, and bassist Kevin Campbell from Stampy. Seals, of course, played keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band the last 15 years of Jerry’s life.
Terrapin Flyer’s roots go back to a 1999 Sunday jam in Chicago.
Advance tickets are $22 and available at MontBleu or online at www.TICKETWEB.com. Doors open at 9 p.m. and concertgoers must be 21 or older.
