Hip hop down to Whiskey Dick’s Saloon for a New Year’s Eve SnowGlobe after-party.
“The party doesn’t stop when the festival gates close,” SnowGlobe promoters noted.
Tonight, it’s GoldLink, a rapper from Washington, D.C., and Andrew Luce, a rising EDM star from the Bay Area. Doors open at 10, and the cover charge is $30.
D’Anthony Carlos, 21, a rapper born in Virginia, is better known as GoldLink. The Guardian noted “his raps are a torrent of stream-of-consciousness, delivered with a sort of spaced-out urgency. Think intricate, but infectious, blissed-out club bangers with fast BPM’s, based on classic soul samples, skittering beats and modern synth sounds…”
Andrew Luce is based in San Francisco, where he had been on the EDM scene since 2012. “Very few artists have been able to adapt to the constantly evolving electronic music landscape,” his online bio says.
“Fewer have been able to organically rack up over 5.5 million plays, blow the internet away on both original content and remixes and gather support of some of the biggest players in the industry.”
Luce appeared at the prestigious Coachella Music Festival and at the 2013 SnowGlobe fest in Lake Tahoe.
Whiskey Dick’s Saloon is located at 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe
SnowGlobe after-parties also are being held at Xhale Bar and Lounge and The Loft at Stateline and at Tep’s Villa Roma in midtown Lake Tahoe. For more information, see LINK.
