It’s only proper that Simple Creation is headed up the hill for a 4/20 celebration at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The Roseville reggae crew just released a new CD, “Reign on the Mountain Top.”
Simple Creation performs at 9 p.m. Wednesday in a free show at the Vinyl showroom for those 21 and older seeking a healthy dose of positive vibrations.
Brothers Travis Olmos (drums/vocals) and Zach Olmos started the band in 2008, later adding Alex Giranis (bass) and Joey Steeb (keyboards.) Simple Creation released three previous CDs, “The Prescription” in 2011, “Blue Dream” in 2012 and “Just Another Pirate” in 2014.
Early this year, the group paid a month-long tribute to Bob Marley, performing three-hour cover sets. It also covers the likes of Sublime, UB40 and Gregory Issacs.
Simple Creation has shared the stage with some of today’s biggest reggae acts, including J Boog, Rebelution, The Green, Tribal Seeds and Katchafire.
On Wednesday, fans can expect to hear a nod to traditional, old-school reggae and some newly released California reggae from “Reign on the Mountain Top.” So don’t make it a pipedream, catch your breath while you can and take aim for the Vinyl.
