Wednesday’s concert on the Valhalla Grand Lawn has been postponed.
“We tried our best to make the concert work but unexpected site maintenance issues now require we cancel the show,” said Michelle Morton, Valhalla’s marketing director.
The fifth and final outdoor show of the summer concert series on the Tallac Historic Site would have been performed by Margret’s Funk Band.
However, events of Valhalla Tahoe’s 25th season continue. Up next will be the Loud As Folk Songwriter Showcase on Wednesday, Sept. 1, in the Boathouse Theatre. Showcase host Spike McGuire will be joined by Lauren Napier and Vic Ruggiero, from the legendary New York ska act The Slackers. Due to the surge of Covid-19 cases, the capacity will be limit to 50 percent and audience members must wear masks.
The Valhalla Boathouse Theater 25th Anniversary Celebration at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6 features Dirty Cello with guest folk artists Claudia Russell and Bruce Kaplan.
WordWave, a Festival of Story, the final act of a three-monthlong playwriting competition will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. And comedy with Matt Donnelly, the Mind Noodler, will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15.
