Tonight’s Slightly Stoopid, Atmosphere concert will sell out

Hip-hop fans should hop to it if they want to attend tonight’s show headlined by Slightly Stoopid at  the MontBleu Outdoor Event Center.

“They have a huge following up here and the show is going to sell out,” said Paul Reder, the president of PR Entertainment.

Artists also include Atmosphere, Tribal Seeds and the Grouch & Eligh.

Polka and bluegrass fans seem to be the only ones left out of this concert. “Slightly Stoopid categorizes themselves as a fusion of folk, rock, reggae, blues with hip-hop, metal and funk,” Reder said.

The MontBleu Outdoor Event Center has a capacity of 5,200. There were tickets available late Thursday afternoon. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $37.50 for the general admission event. The are available at the MontBleu Box Office and by telephone: 1-888-829-7630.

The “Kicking Up Dust After-Party” begins at 11 p.m. in the BLU Nightclub. Murs, Bukue One and Logic One will perform. Tickets are $20.

More than 4,000 came out Sunday for the second outdoor show of the summer. The B-52s and K.C. and the Sunshine Band performed.

“It was a great crowd,” Reder said. “I was very impressed. I am glad people rolled out, especially on a Sunday. It proves Lake Tahoe can rock any day of the week.”
