Reno’s Cargo Concert Hall resumes shows

Cargo Concert Hall, the event space on the ground floor of downtown Reno’s Whitney Peak Hotel, has announced a slew of shows spanning the musical grid after a year-and-a-half shutdown due to the pandemic.

All ticket holders will need to present either a valid vaccination card proving they are fully vaccinated or a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of the show to enter the venue. Additionally, Cargo will require all guests and employees wear face masks while inside the building, regardless of vaccination status.

“We understand that ongoing safety protocols are cumbersome, but we are absolutely committed to the health and safety of everyone involved,” said Niki Gross, managing director for Whitney Peak Hotel. “We believe this is the best and safest way for us to responsibly reopen and do our part to limit the further spread of COVID-19.”

Orange County punk band Social Distortion starts it off on Oct. 8. We Came as Romans and The Devil Wears Prada play on Oct. 24. Local EDM collective Bass Camp will bring its third installment of the Halloween Bass Ball with producers RIOT TEN and Vampa on Oct. 30.

Dates continue in the upcoming months with stops announced for rock band Blue October, dubstep producer Wooli, guitar virtuoso Eric Johnson and punk and hardcore legends Circle Jerks with Negative Approach.

Tickets are on sale at the Cargo website.
