If you’ve noticed Strange Weather at Lake Tahoe this summer, you are not alone.
Strange Weather is a four-piece rock group that is threatening to be a Tahoe group with the most instant success since the Dead Winter Carpenters burst on the scene in 2010.
The band was a last-minute replacement July 11 to headline Tahoe Paradise Park’s 50th Birthday Bash. The free event featured music, food and crafts all day.
Deep Fryed Mojo played from noon to 2 p.m., followed by Outpatients and Guests from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Strange Weather from 5 to 8 p.m.
Tahoe Paradise Park is at 1011 East San Bernardino Ave. Westbound Highway 50 motorists from South Lake Tahoe to Meyers will turn right on Apache Avenue, just before the bug station, aka, Agricultural Department Inspection.
Strange Weather blew away a packed Himmel Haus June 21 in its first official show. The band plays hard rock in the style of Led Zeppelin and Derringer.
Strange Weather is Todd Christensen, bass; John Gardner, drums; Vinny Berry, vocals and John “Chile” Munroe, guitar.
