Amidst a tour schedule that has pop street punk band The Last Gang performing at The Punk Rock Museum and opening for NOFX’s final run of shows throughout Europe and the US, the Los Angeles-based group is swinging through Northern Nevada to play at the Cypress in Midtown Reno on Friday, April 12th.
The show is a preview party for Schellraiser Music Festival, the best under-the-radar festival that takes place each year outside Ely, Nevada. The 2024 Schellraiser Fest which takes place May 30th-June 1st boasts Ladytron, Mercury Rev, The Raveonettes, Plague Vendor, We Are Scientists, and Miki Berenyi Trio on a lineup of over 30 bands and performers.
The Last Gang play a rough and tumble style of punk with catchy melodic elements and musicianship that makes their sound a lot more approachable and almost danceable at times.
Joining The Last Gang at Cypress for the party are local punk bands, Donkey Jaw – fresh off the release of their new singles “Don’t Feel Nothin'” and “Breathing Now”, two blasts of upbeat catchy punk – and Hired Fun who hit with their own style of backyard keg party insanity.
