Photographer’s notebook: The Trey Stone Band put on an amazing show Friday night, Jan. 15, in the Hard Rock Casino’s Vinyl.
Stone played with longtime members Boyce Pittman on bass, Eight Track Jones on drums and Terry Ogg on keyboards. It was my first time hearing the Trey Stone Band in a larger venue and I couldn’t have been more impressed.
The best line of the night was when Stone related a story of when he had met B.B. King. He had asked King if he still named his guitar Lucille, to which the blues legend said, “Yes, I still call my guitar Lucille.” Trey responded by saying his guitar’s name was “Shanaynay, because she don’t freak for anyone but me!”
Trey dedicated the night’s music to a recent passing of his cousin, Brian McCullough.
