Editor’s note: Tim McGraw won a 2017 Grammy Award for Best Country Song, “Humble And Kind.” It was his fourth Grammy Award.
Tim McGraw, country music’s top gun, entertained a packed house of adoring fans — and plenty of celebrities, too — Saturday at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harvey’s. McGraw, who has been performing for more than two decades, returned to Tahoe for the second time in three years for a concert during the American Century Championship (one of the biggest celebrity golf tournments in the country.) A champion in his own right, McGraw has recorded 14 studio albums, including 10 that reached No. 1 on the Top Country Album charts. He earned 14 Academy of Music Awards and 11 Country Music Association Awards, all the while inspiring fans with daily words of encouragement. Rising star Brooke Eden opened the show, and as the sun set on busy but bucolic Lake Tahoe, McGraw took the stage for a performance to remember.
