The front porch string band Rabbit Wilde recorded its new album “The Heartland” at Bear Creek Studio. A press statement says the band “captures the wind, the streams and mountain air in its songs.” It’s four members connected in – what?! – New York City.
This unlikely group of urban dwellers actually are from rural Washington state but coalesced in New York.
It opened on March 4 for Poor Man’s Whiskey in the Crystal Bay Casino’s Crown Room. The rousing show stirred the Lake Tahoe audience.
It will have an encore performance, this time in the Red Room on Thursday, Sept. 29. The show is free.
The band is Miranda Zickler (vocals, banjo, rhythm guitar, percussion andaccordion); Nathan Hamer (ukulele, vocals and mandolin); Zach Hamer (lead guitar, vocals, percussion and harmonica); Jillian Walker (cello and vocals).
