Met Jonny when he was 13 at the CaBooze in Minneapolis. He was sitting behind me with his Dad while waiting for Tab Benoit to perform. Since it was a 21+ club, I asked why he was there. He said he was a musician and loved the Blues. One year later he was playing there with his band, Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang – opening for a National act. Have many autographed pictures from early on in his career. Now live in Cocoa Beach, hoping he comes our way for a show. It’d be awesome seeing him again. Wow! Now that’s a history! I too have been watching him for many years, seems like more than a decade now. To think he’s now only in his mid-30’s is mind boggling. Cocoa Beach is a long way from Tahoe, thanks for posting on our website.
