There was nothing subtle about the Greg Golden Band’s first Lake Tahoe appearance in almost three months.

The hard-rocking band blasted its classic and original dual-guitar driven tunes in Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Stateline on Saturday, Aug. 13.

The band, which has appeared in the venue more than any other group, often features guest artists. But on this night, the members had the stage all to itself, and it shined. Greg Golden on lead guitar is joined by guitarist Jeff Montgomery, singer Paul Holdgate and the former Montrose rhythm section, drummer Steve Brown and bassist Larry Hart.

In November, the Greg Golden Band will release its second album, the bandleader announced. The yet-to-be named album will be produced by Tesla’s Frank Hannon. A tour with a well-known national band is expected to be announced soon.
