What’s a Canadian Music Hall of Famer doing singing about an “American Woman”? Burton Cummings has been doing it for years. The former lead singer and keyboard player for the Guess Who, Cummings delighted an appreciative audience Saturday at the MontBleu Resort and Casino. The Guess Who rolled out a number of top hits and albums in the early 1970s, including “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “Share the Land” and “Clap for the Wolfman.” The tunes were destined to become classics and they still ring true today. Considered rock ‘n’ roll royalty in his Canadian homeland, Cummings embarked on a solo career in 1976, and he’s still going strong.
