Photographer’s notebook: What a show. Turi McClain is spectacular to watch. Two of the band members (Jesse Dunn and Dave Lockhart) are current members of the Dead Winter Carpenters and Sean Duerr used to be their lead guitarist. The rest of the band is Brent and Turi McClainm so it is kind of like watching the evolution of the DWC’s band. They all seemed to be very happy with the reunion of this original band and we enjoying the evening immensely. Brent and Turi got married and had kids so they couldn’t keep up with the band schedule which prompted the other three to find Jenni Charles and a drummer and start something different which took off to a huge success. If this kind of bluegrass doesn’t get you excited I just don’t know could. — Larry Sabo
