Cargo & JMAX present Foals

Cargo & JMAX present Foals on Thursday night. The all-ages show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $25.

Not to be confused with young equines (see Wikipedia), the Foals are an alt-rock and punk band hailing from Oxford, England. Band members are Yannis Philippakis (vocals and lead guitar), Jack Bevan (percussion), Jimmy Smith (rhythm guitar), Walter Gervers (bass) and Edwin Congreave (keyboards). The are recognized as an outstanding live act, and frontman Philippakis is known to jump off stage and do some crowd surfing during the interlude of “Two Steps Twice.” Perhaps hoping to pick up some Sunday gigs, the Foals list their genre as “religious.” They are skilled at “letting the outside in and the inside out.”
