Schellraiser Music Festival, the off-the-map multi-day event which takes place each year bringing an oversized curated lineup of big names in the alt. genres to the town of McGill, announced seven more acts slated for its 2024 event.
Adding to its lineup which includes bands like Ladytron, Mercury Rev, The Raveonettes, The Miki Berenyi Trio, The Paranoyds, and We Are Scientists, Schellraiser has also just dropped that experimental rock group Man Man, soulful americana group Eagle Rock Gospel Singers, heavy rock group Megafauna, space rockers Motrik, Sub Pop artists Corridor, Bay Area songwriter Anna Hillburg, and Salt Lake City noise pop group the Plastic Cherries (who put on a memorable set at last year’s Schellraiser event) will join the 20+ bands and artists previously announced for its May 30th-June 1st dates.
In its third year, Schellraiser has built a reputation as a destination (in the most remote sense of the word) music festival where the relative intimacy of the smaller event offers music fans a chance to see acts that hang in the esoteric genres – imagine a ‘best of’ mixtape of past and present bands recorded from the leftmost “College Radio” side of the dial – in a smaller setting. The festival has camping options at its quirky campground ranging from fully furnished container homes and yurt-like tents to open car camping spots adjacent to the festival site in the scenic Steptoe Valley.
Set in McGill beside a natural warm springs swimming hole, the area’s high elevation sunsets and mountainous landscape creates a scenic backdrop for the alternating stages. 3 Day Festival Passes are available for $220, with single day passes also available.
