Emo kids rejoice! Lake Tahoe Is For Lovers, the music festival put on by Hawthorne Heights to bring a wave of early 2000’s era pop punk and emo bands to a Lake Tahoe’s Harvey’s Outdoor Arena will be returning for the second year this summer.
Created in an effort to bring the daytime outdoor music festival, along with a layout of fun things such as emo haircuts, a “Dunk A Punk” dunk tank, and Myspace profile pic photo ops, this festival is for those who miss the era of Warped Tour and sad kid pop punk singalongs with a crowd of like minded friends.
Now in its second year, the wildly fun festival packs equal parts nostalgia, circle pits and grown ups reminiscing over teen angst and regrettable haircuts.

Joining Hawthorne Heights will be The All-American Rejects, whose songs “Dirty Little Secret,” “Gives You Hell” and “Move Along” are classics of the throwback emo era. Movements, The Starting Line and Finch are amongst the 8 bands slated to play the day long festival.
