The Red Rocker will make his annual summer pilgrimage to Lake Tahoe on Fourth of July weekend.
Sammy Hagar and The Circle, featuring Vic Johnson on guitar, Michael Anthony on bass and Jason Bonham on drums, will appear at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. An opener has not been announced, but The Garage Boys of Las Vegas have opened for Hagar’s last two performances at the Summer Concert Series.
Independence Day is typically the the wildest of holidays in Tahoe, and things just got a little crazier. Thousands of Redheads flock to town for Hagar’s shows, and thousands more already will be in town to celebrate the nation’s birthday. Fireworks are guaranteed. An after-party will continue well into the next morning at Cabo Wabo Cantina Lake Tahoe.
Get ready for some Rock Candy. Hagar’s son Aaron lives on the South Shore, and it is certain that the Red Rocker Can’t Drive 55 enroute to Tahoe. Keep clear on Highway 50.
Presale tickets are available today (March 9) through Harrah’s and Harveys using the code “Round.” Tickets will be available from ticketmaster.com and APEconcerts.com starting Friday, March 10. Tickets are $69.50 plus fees and are all general admission.
On Friday, June 30, reggae rockers Rebelution will appear at the Harveys Outdoor Arena, along with Nahko and Medicine for the People, HIRIE and Collie Buddz.
Other shows announced for the series are Train, Natasha Bedingfield and O.A.R on Sunday, July, 9; Third Eye Blind on Sunday, July 16; surf rocker Jack Johnson with Animal Liberation Orchestra on Friday, July 28, and Slightly Stoopid, Iration, J Boog and The Movement on Friday, Aug. 4.
