There are lots of cover bands, but it takes one with outstanding musicianship to cover Steely Dan, a group famous for its meticulous studio creations.
Steelin’ Dan is the two-time recipient of Sacramento Magazine’s Best of Sacramento honors, including 2011 Best Cover band.
The 10-piece band performs at 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room. There is no cover charge.
A fine companion will be Timoteo with Jay EV at the Red Room after-party.
