The Pittsburgh Pirates made news this year by making the playoffs for the first time since 1992. The Pittsburgh band Rusted Root has been more consistent, winning fans every year since 1992.
A percussion-led jam rock band, Rusted Root makes a midweek appearance in the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room. The Wednesday show will be opened by Goodnight Texas.
The band has a live album and seven studio records, the latest being “The Movement,” released last year.
“The title itself is a testament to the community surrounding our music,” singer and percussionist Liz Berlin said in a press statement.
Rusted Root created the Fortunate Freaks Unite! We Are Rusted Root campaign, a fan-funding campaign where fans contributed to the making of the album.
“Rusted Root is a state of mind shared and explored by many people — we are a community that supports one another,” said the front man Michael Glabicki.
Rusted Root has toured with the biggest bands in rock, including Santana, Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers Band.
