Dirty Cello headlines Valhalla Tahoe’s 25th anniversary show on Oct. 6.

Valhalla Tahoe’s 25th season will be longer than expected due to nearby wildfires. The final events have been rescheduled to October.

The date of the 25th anniversary show with Dirty Cello and Friends Claudia Russell and Bruce Kaplan in the Boathouse Theatre has moved to Wednesday, Oct. 6. Ticket holders of the originally scheduled Sept. 6 event who would like a refund can email info@valhallatahoe.com.

Due to the surge of Covid-19 cases, attendees of the remaining Boathouse Theatre shows are required to wear facemasks.

WordWave at Valhalla One-Act Play Winners Stage Reading has been rescheduled from one day to three days – Oct. 21-23 — and will now be full performances of the winning one-act plays.

All three writers will be there to answer questions about the plays and their process. Two of the plays are 20 minutes and another is 40 minutes:

  • “Out, Dan COVID Audition” by Susan Boulanger is a comedy. Gayle, a local actor who has reached her breaking point, coaching the over-zealous Darcie for a Shakespeare audition that will definitely be…unforgettable.
  • “Big Top Love” by Nicole DeSalle explores the motivations behind our dreams through the experiences of Travis and Lydia who meet at a Chicago cafe and learn they both are seeking thrills they hope will bring joy to their lives.
  • “The Process” by Peter McDonough finds first-grade teacher Sarah Chapman reliving the events of a specific day with the help of a counselor. The women painstakingly unearth the truth, forcing the audience to confront a chilling threat from which no one is immune.

Valhalla Tahoe is located on the Tallac Historic Site, 1 Valhalla Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
