Baby boomers unite! More than 45 years and 100 million albums-sold later, he’s still Sweet Baby James.
On Wednesday, July 13, fans can spend “An Evening with James Taylor” at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. The show, which will have no opening band, starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $129.50 to $59.50 plus fees. Several floor seats remain on sale.
It will be Taylor’s second appearance at the venue.
“It’s a great show,” Harrah’s and Harveys spokesman John Packer said. “It’s James Taylor so we expect a huge baby boomer turnout. It’s the soundtrack of the ’60s and ’70s and he’s still making music. It’s exciting.”
Delivered in warm tones and a distinctive style of guitar playing, his songs are ones that ring true in your mind — “Fire and Rain,” “Country Road,” “Something in the Way She Moves,” “Shower the People,” “Your Smiling Face,” Carolina on my Mind” and “Sweet Baby James.”
“An Evening with James Taylor” is the fifth show announced for this summer’s outdoor concert series at Harveys.
