September 2025
A beautiful September Saturday at the newly renovated Bijou Community Park in South Lake Tahoe brought a full lineup of tastings that included both food and libations, along with vendors and live music. Sample The Sierra, a carefully crafted experience that takes place annually paired wonderful tasty bites with a delicious drink to compliment each food item. Non-alcoholic options were also available, and some attendees opted for a ticket option of just food if they preferred only the yummy treats. This year’s Sample The Sierra was fortunate to have a perfect sunny day to compliment the event’s hours of fun.
This event is all ages and with the park facilities located in the heart of town it makes for a great Tahoe day. Local duo The Imposters played the lawn throughout the afternoon and Ted Kennedy performed solo on a small stage nearer to the entrance. Folks brought blankets and lawn chairs to watch the performers and enjoy the food and drink experience.
The volunteers all work together to give visitors the best event experience. Events and Program manager Jessica Grimes of Tahoe Chamber led the way with the idea of bringing community together. This dynamic event offers guests a taste of South Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas amazing flavors that represent local culture.
The annual event surpassed their previous occasions in terms of the sheer enjoyment experienced by attendees. Below are a collection of photos from the 2025 event. Feel free to check out and follow the group’s Instagram page for updates on future events. Cheers until next year!
