Get ready for Steely Dead to weave a web composed of two of the Great American Songbook’s most popular catalogs during a two-night run this Friday and Saturday evening, October 24th & 25th, 2025 at the Crystal Bay Casino’s Crown Room in Crystal Bay, Nevada.
Based out of Denver, Colorado, the tribute band intertwines the music of the Grateful Dead and Steely Dan to provide a truly unique experience for fans of both or either of the bands. Not only do they perform mind-melting covers of both Steely Dan and Grateful Dead songs throughout their shows, but in true Grateful Dead fashion they often work their way back and forth between the two discographies in deep, extended and improvised jams. Blending the complex jazz focused arrangements of Steely Dan with the improvised melting pot of music that is the Grateful Dead, Steely Dead is both a celebration of the two groups and an opportunity for the music to live on and grow.
