The North Mississippi Allstars bringing their Still Shakin’ Tour to South Lake Tahoe

Larry Sabo / Tahoe Onstage

September 2025

Now backed by Joey Williams of the Blind Boys of Alabama and Eminem’s own guitar player, Ray Ray Holloman, the North Mississippi Allstars are sure to blow your minds with their fusion of traditional folk, blues, “Mississippi music” and psychedelic rock on the evening of Sunday, September 21, 2025 at The Hangar Taproom & Bottle Shop in South Lake Tahoe, CA. This is a show you aren’t going to want to miss!

First forming in 1996, the North Mississippi Allstars started just as they are aptly named, a rotating cast of some of the best musicians in North Mississippi playing shows with brothers Cody and Luther Dickinson. They gained success quickly, first touring in 1997 backing RL Burnside on the Ass Pocket of Whiskey tour, and Cody and Luther have been on the road ever since.

The North Mississippi Allstars’ latest album, Still Shakin’, released on June 6, 2025, is made in celebration of their first album Shake Hands with Shorty. The intention of the album is to create new music to show appreciation for everyone who supported them at the beginning, and along their musical journey thus far. Still Shakin’ is dedicated to the memory of late Grateful Dead bass player Phil Lesh and features Phil’s son, Grahame Lesh, both of whom not only personally taught the Dickinson brothers Grateful Dead songs but also the intentions and philosophies behind these songs. As their latest album name suggests, the North Mississippi Allstars are sure to keep you shakin’ your bones until the last note of their show at the Hangar Taproom & Bottle Shop.

The North Mississippi Allstars perform at The Hangar Taproom and Bottle Shop in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday, September 21st.

Tickets are available here.
