Bloody Mary Competition year 13 right on the lake.
One of the most tasty mid-summer events in Lake Tahoe is the Tahoe Bloody Mary Competition. The day’s festivities and competition will take place on Sunday, August 10th at the Beach Retreat & Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, where canned libation company Cutwater Spirits will present food and drink vendors in a lakeside environment. Both locals and guests attend this event and bring in new friends to join. Tahoe Beach Retreat has two spacious courtyards to walk in between and has plenty of space, making use of the venue’s wedding pavilion, dance floor and beachside sand to host a day with DJs, live art painting, dancing and a lakeside view across the water!
Celebrating its 13th year, this year’s competition is set to have 17 bartenders compete for the title of best Bloody Mary mixologist as well as trophies. The bartenders have been prepping for weeks, even infusing ingredients to get their Bloody Mary mix perfect. They work on garnishing, the mix and presentation just to get everything perfect for the event. In addition to drinks, attendees are just steps away from the lake where you can go to dip your toes with drink in hand.
This year’s Tahoe Bloody Mary Competition offers a day where you can drink, eat and play. The retreat’s two restaurants, Sidelines and Boat House Pier will also be serving food throughout the day. Grab your beach gear and bring your appetite.
