Even though the Weather Gods brought us a little bit of rain, the show went on with spectacular favor!
On Friday, October 3rd, a very talented band TopHouse, from Nashville, Tennessee took the stage at The Hanger Taproom and Bottle Shop in South Lake Tahoe. Even though the Weather Gods brought us a little bit of rain to the outdoor venue, the show went on with spectacular favor! The Crow Boys, a New Orleans duo consisting of two brothers, opened this wet event. Known for their raw, story driven tunes and harmonies that blend country, folk and rock
influences, the pair performed a set of excellent tunes with their catchy harmonies standing out the most.
TopHouse is a four piece band currently touring in support of their latest album Practice. We were lucky to have them stop by!
The band consists of Joe Larson on banjo and vocals who has a knack for expressive storytelling in his lyrics. Jessie Davis was pickin’ and strummin’ his guitar and mandolin. William Cook is an extremely talented violin player, who together with Andy Lafave on keyboards, formed an incredibly talented team with their harmonies, stories and tunes kept everyone there smiling and dancing and warm, through the chilled evening.
Joe explained how they enjoyed traveling around, as they ended the evening with the songs “Airport” and “Mountain Song”. At this point everyone including the band was really cold, but though not for lack of thoroughly enjoying the concert!
I do hope that TopHouse will come back to the area to play their music again someday! Thank you to the The Hanger for hosting this wonderful music event! And thank you to Larry Sabo for the amazing photos! Please check them out below.
