The Record Company took the stage at the Crystal Bay Casino on Saturday night, and they absolutely delivered a memorable performance. Despite being under doctor’s orders, lead guitar player and vocalist Chris Vos brought his signature energy to the show, utilizing a stool that he “sat” on—though it was hard to tell if he actually stayed seated at all. His chair dancing and lively movements during the slower songs showcased his determination and passion for the music.
Bassist Alex Stiff was locked in all night, providing a solid foundation for the band’s sound. He even switched things up by picking up a guitar and stepping into the spotlight to sing lead on a song, further proving his versatility as a musician.
By the night’s end, the band had performed 17 songs in all, returning to the stage for an encore that included a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin Jack Flash” and ending the night with their songs, “I’m Getting Better (and I’m Feeling It Right Now).” With a performance like that, especially considering Chris wasn’t at 100%, it’s clear that The Record Company is a must-see live act.
