April 2026
Eggy came to Lake Tahoe’s Harrah’s South Shore Room for a jam filled 2 hour set on April 5, Easter Sunday. Kicking the show off with powerful synth tones on “Boom or Bust”, Eggy brought a dancey groove right away. After that they played a bit more mellow vibe, working their way to a 17 minute “One More Dance” with extended jams that spanned a wide soundscape from heavy to slow and pretty, including a flurry of bass bombs flying from Mike Goodman’s corner of the stage. It was clear that the band was having a blast playing to the Stateline, NV crowd.

For the next few songs things mellowed out again with tender vocals and sweet melodies. Guitarist Jake Brownstein switched to acoustic for several songs before breaking a string (without missing a note) and switching back to the electric. The band broke into heavy jams again to close out the show with a 24 minute “Time Escaping” followed by an 11 minute “12 Pounds of Pain”. In the extended jams of these songs Dani Battat was creating some wild and interesting synth tones to round out the show with a full menu of sound. Last but not least, drummer Alex Bailey was the silent star of the show, the glue holding together the groove and keeping the rest of the musicians locked in with each other no matter how far out each jam got.

Eggy will be moving onto the Pacific Northwest for a run of shows this weekend before cruising through Salt Lake City and Vegas the following week. These guys are making beautiful melodic music that can go in any direction right now, and a must see when they come to your area. Never miss a Sunday show!
