The BoomBox show on Saturday night – the second of a two night stand at the Crystal Bay Casino’s Crown Room – was like embarking on a soothing journey, where the atmosphere enveloped you in its mellow embrace from start to finish. The performance flowed seamlessly, maintaining a consistent vibe that was both relaxing and engaging.

Zion Godchaux’s guitar work was particularly noteworthy, weaving its melodies effortlessly with DJ Kinsman MacKay’s beats. This fusion created a harmonious blend that was both unique and captivating. The guitarist’s grooves complemented the electronic rhythms perfectly, adding a layer of warmth and richness to the overall sound.

While some might have expected a crescendo or a shift in energy as the show progressed, the consistent mellow tone was a refreshing change, allowing the audience to fully immerse in the music without any abrupt transitions. This distinctive style set the show apart, offering a laid-back yet thoroughly enjoyable experience.

If you’re looking for a concert that soothes the senses while still delivering quality music, this is one to watch out for. The collaboration between guitar and DJ was a testament to how diverse musical elements can come together to create something truly special.
