Wooden Boat Challenge

Arts for the Schools’ fourth annual Wooden Boat Challenge is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Commons Beach in Tahoe City. There will be live music, a beer garden, food and children’s activities. Free.
Details: Three hours, teams of four build a boat, no power tools. What could go wrong? Join Arts For The Schools for the fourth annual Wooden Boat Challenge on Commons Beach in Tahoe City Teams of four are given 3 hours to build a boat without power tools and with materials provided. After the build, we watch them race on beautiful Lake Tahoe.
