Joy’s heartfelt indie folk-pop has taken airwaves around the world by storm. From the subtle trembling vocals and catchy ukelele-led pop hooks of his debut single “Riptide” to the euphoric, thumping rhythm of his latest hit “Lay It on Me,” his music has reached the hearts of millions of fans.

Vance Joy (real name James Keogh; his stage name is based on a story-telling character from a Peter Carey novel) released his debut full length album “Dream Your Life Away” in 2014. Immediately picking up accolades in Australia, including the top spot in that nation’s yearly Hottest 100 alternative music countdown, international attention soon followed. One new fan in particular catapulted the one-time open-mic performer to global stardom: Taylor Swift. In October 2014, the pop star covered “Riptide” for a spot on UK radio, admitting that she loved the song. Not long after, Swift announced Vance Joy as the opening act for her “1989” world tour.

In the years since the Swift tour, Vance Joy has been crafting his sophomore album, “Nation of Two.” Released in February of this year, the album is a luscious song book of at times gentle, at times stirring, melodies of life and love.

Now on his Nation of Two world tour, Vance Joy will bring his sweet and uplifting songs to Reno’s Grand Theatre for an evening of musical bliss.
