The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, an eight-piece band from San Diego, will bring its soul, funk and Afro-beat music to the Divided Sky at 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Advance tickets to the 21-and-older show are $8, or $10 at the door. The ensemble is a heavy, original instrumental soul band. Influences include Issac Hayes, The Meters, El Michels, Affair, The Poets of Rhythm and Budos Band. It has shared the stage with the likes of the New Mastersounds and the Monophonics.
