New Orleans funksters, the Soul Project NOLA, is bringing its West Coast Hustle (Part II) tour back to Truckee to Alibi Ale Works – Truckee Public House at 9 p.m. Saturday. Aug 31. The two-week tour brings the band and its new old school” sound to the West Coast for 10 dates, with stops in San Francisco, Berkeley, Santa Cruz, Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Building on the success of their debut release, “Music For Movers and Shakers” (nominated for Offbeat Magazine “Best of the Beat” Award for Best R&B/Funk Album) the band is on the road promoting its second album, “The Long Hustle.” Get the funk down to Alibi.
