The Carson Valley Inn and TJ’s Corral will serve as the headquarters for the Minden Moo – the CVI’s celebration of our 35th Birthday on Aug. 16-17. The event includes local ranches competing in mechanical bull riding, horseshoes and a ranch truck and tractor show and shine.
Attractions include food, beer, line dancing, live music, farmer’s market and a display of antique trucks/tractors and other ranching equipment from local ranchers and collectors.
11 a.m. — The Minden Moo Food Court featuring the Bus Boy Double-Decker Food Truck, Sierra Chef Farmer’s Market, Nevada Antique Tractor Show and Ranch Truck Show & Shine start in the lot adjacent and to the west of TJ’s Corral. Bar service will be in TJ’s Corral.
2 p.m. — Horseshoe tourney check in begins.
3 p.m. — Horseshoe tourney begins. 1st place = 2 trophies + $500, 2nd place =2 trophies + $200, 3rd place = 2 trophies + dinner for two in CV Steak.
7 p.m. — Doors open in TJ’s Corral for the Justin Lee Concert
8 p.m. — Justin Lee Band entertains in concert. Video will be shot for their upcoming single release.
Admission is $10 at the door and this includes choice of a free Coors Light, glass of wine, water or soft drink.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit 4-H Youth Development in Douglas County.
10 p.m. — Enjoy the Kenny Frye Band in the Cabaret Lounge.
