Men’s college basketball: Wyoming at Nevada

Nevada (10-7, 3-2 MW) returns home to host Wyoming (5-13, 0-6 MW) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a Mountain West contest.  A reminder season tickets have the game as Wednesday, Jan. 15 but the date was shifted to Tuesday Jan. 14 after tickets were printed and sent to season ticket holders.

The Wolf Pack seeks to get back on the winning track after dropping two MW road games.  The Pack is 10-7 overall and is in fourth place in the MW standings at 3-2.  Nevada has won its last 14 MW home games and is 27-2 in its last 29 conference home games.

Wyoming has lost its last four games.  The Cowboys are 5-13 on the season and 0-6 in conference play.  Hunter Maldonado tops the team averaging 17.9 points per game followed by Jake Hendricks 9.7 points per outing. Maldonado also tops the team in rebounding a 5.8 per game.

Jalen Harris who is coming off a 31-point game at Utah State leads the Pack in scoring (18.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg).  Harris has scored in double figures in the last 13 games and is second in the conference in scoring.  Jazz Johnson is fifth in the MW scoring 17.2 points per game. Harris and Johnson are the highest scoring duo in the MW.  Lindsey Drew is the third Pack player scoring in double figures at 12.4 points per game.  Drew tops the Pack in assists dishing out 4.5 per game to rank third in the MW.

THE SERIES

Wyoming leads the series 14-7 but Nevada has won five of the last six meetings.

The game will be air on the CBS Sports Network.  Rich Waltz will call the action with Dan Dickau providing the color commentary.

The game can be heard on 94.5 FM in northern Nevada with John Ramey calling all the action. Len Stevens will provide the color commentary.
