Ideateam brings its ultra-funky, groove-laden sound from Sacramento. The band is a musical collective that has evolved from a core rhythm section of two polyrhythmic guiars, bass and drums into a 9-piece ensemble with percussion, a brass section trio and a cast of featured vocalists. “When their sultry wall of funk washed over everyone’s ears, the approval rating for Ideateam instantly achieved Bernie Sanders status,” one reviewer wrote. The Jonny Gold Trio is a Sacramento jazz band that swings hard through the classic tunes of the great American songbook. It plays jazz standards, Latin jazz and blues, songs written by artists such as Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
