Deep Fried Roots is on the menu at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct 1, at Whiskey Dick’s Saloon. Free show for those 21 and older.Tahoe Blue Vodka drink specials throughout the night. Doug Schwartz, frontman for Deep Fried Mojo and Hare of the Dawg String Band, will join Tahoe roots-reggae band Taking Root. “This will be a massively rocking blend of reggae, ska and maybe even some country and bluegrass.” Hare of the Dawg had been scheduled to play, but many of its members are attending the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in the Bay Area.
