Gene Evaro Jr., the Supernova from SoCal, will appear at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Nevada City. Tickets to the 21-and-older show are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Evaro’s sets sizzled this year at both the High Sierra Music Festival and the Hangtown Music Festival. He also played at Guitarfish, the Crystal Bay Casino and the OffBeat Music Fest in Reno, among other spots in the Sierra. Evaro and bandmates, including bassist Piper Robison, recently released their first live album, recorded at the 2016 Joshua Tree Music Festival (his home neck of the desert.)
