G Love & Special Sauce appears Saturday, Jan. 30, in the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Ripe opens at 7 p.m.
The alternative hip-hop and R&B trio from Philadelphia opened its nationwide “Love Saves the Day” tour this week in Phoenix, selling out shows in Los Angeles and San Diego. Garrett Dutton (aka G. Love) on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Jim Prescott (aka Jimi Jazz) on bass, and Jeffery Clemens (aka Houseman) on drums released their new album in October. Boston-based Ripe, a pop/funk/party rock band, will open for G. Love on its West Coast and Midwest tour dates.
