The Official Film Festival After-Party on Saturday, Dec. 3, features Kat Myers & the Buzzards. The free Crown Room show starts at 11 p.m. in the Crystal Bay Casino.
The Los Angeles-based band offers up “rock and roll spaghetti surf blues.” When it opened recently for Blues Traveler at the Cargo Concert Hall in Reno, Tahoe Onstage reported that the Buzzards, named after Myers’ hometown classic rock radio station, wasted no time in winning over the crowd “with its starry-eyed twang performed through pirouetting guitars and smiles flashed across the stage… the Buzzards ended their first Reno foray to raucous applause.”
