The Eli Young Band appears at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, in TJ’s Corral at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden, Nevada.
Named for lead vocalist Mike Eli and guitarist James Young, the band began performing together in 2000 while the players were attending the North Texas State University. The Eli Young band has progressed from packing honky tonks in the Lone Star state to filling stadiums as one of country music’s hottest acts. The band has three No. 1 hits under its belt, including “Crazy Girl,” which garnered a Grammy nomination and an Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year in 2011. Its newly released single “Saltwater Gospel” is climbing the country charts. The Eli Young Band is known for its potent live shows and its edy, passionate albums.
