Texas rockers Blue October are bringing a new album, “Home,” and a new attitude to Reno on Sunday, May, 14, when they perform at 8 p.m. in the Cargo Concert Hall at Whitney Peak Hotel. The band is known for its shimmering melodies and heartstring-pulling lyrics, led by emotionally charged and magnetic frontman Justin Furstenfeld. The father of two young children, the tatted-up Furstenfeld recently hit the five-year mark for being clean and sober. The guitarist is joined by his brother Jeremy on drums, along with violinist Ryan Delahoussaye and bassist Matt Noveskey. Delahoussaye will open the show with his own set. Advance tickets are $27.
