Ring in the new year with Black Star Safari at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Divided Sky. Guests must be 21 or older. Black Star Safari is the high-energy duo of Dan Green on guitar and Matt Mandella on drums, with both sharing vocals. They’ll deliver several sets of rock, folk, funk and reggae, originals and covers. Special guests are on tap, as well. Black Star Safari is known for its vibrant live performances. It should be a great way to close the book on 2016.
