Big Sticky Mess, a Davis-based funk band, returns for a second straight year to Lakeview. It also made the trek to Lake Tahoe for several other shows last year. Expect some funky jammin’. Hailing from San Francisco and Goiania, Brazil, Boca do Rio serves up Brazilian space funk — “original music for original lives.” The Afro-Brazilian, world music band delivers a blend of pop hooks, pleasing vocal harmonies and funky rhythms. Boca do Rio takes its name from Portuguese “mouth of the river” — the place where myriad streams and sources converge into one powerful, flowing physical energy.”
