Ted Nugent plays July 4th at TJ’s Corral

The Summer Concert Series at TJ’s Corral will have a righteous start on Memorial Day weekend, and a fiery Fourth of July.

Carson Valley Inn in Minden, Nevada, announced three new shows today: The Righteous Brothers will bring back that loving feeling on Friday, May 25, Travis Tritt (a long haired country boy) will perform Friday, June, 1, and rocker Ted Nugent will explode onstage Wednesday, July 4. Tickets go on sale for all of the shows at 10 a.m. Friday, March 23.

Four shows had been announced earlier: Granger Smith, Clint Black, Trace Adkins and Creedence Clearwater Revisited. All told, it’s shaping up to be a fine summer at TJ’s Corral, where music fans can watch the sun set over the eastern Sierra Nevada as they enjoy their favorite bands. Two more announcements are expected.

Righteous Brothers: 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 25

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo The Righteous Brothers topped the charts in four decades. Now, Bill Medley joins forces with one of the most versatile vocalists in America, Bucky Heard, to bring the Righteous Brothers back to the stage. Medley and Heard having been playing in Las Vegas since 2016.

The Righteous Brothers concert experience features a string of their biggest No. 1 hits, including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ ” (the most played song in radio history), “Soul & Inspiration,” “Unchained Melody,” “Rock and Roll Heaven,” and Medley’s Grammy-winning “Dirty Dancing” theme, “The Time of My Life.” Tickets: $49 and $65.

Travis Tritt: 8 p.m. Friday, June 1

Travis James Tritt is a country boy for sure, born in Marietta, Georgia. The singer-songwriter is known for his mainstream country music with Southern rock influences. He has landed more than 40 times on the Hot Country Songs charts, including five No. 1’s — “Help Me Hold On,” “Anymore,” “Can I Trust You with My Heart,” “Foolish Pride” and “Best of Intentions” — and 15 additional top 10 singles.

Seven of his albums are certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America. The highest is 1991’s “It’s All About to Change,” which is certified triple-platinum.

Tritt’s latest album, an acoustic recording, is “A Man and his Guitar — Live from Franklin Theatre.” Tickets: $49 and $65

Granger Smith: 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16

Granger Smith and his redneck alter ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., are back at it again, staging a return appearance at TJ’s Corral. Last October, Smith released the album “When The Good Guys Win.”

Smith’s sidekick, the chaw chomping Dibbles Jr., will join the show, perhaps imparting some “Country Boy Love,” a parody of country songs that idolize drinking beer and hitting the trail in a pickup truck. Savingcountrymusic.com sets the scene for the tune’s music video: “This thing has more pelvic thrusts than a troupe of Paul Abdul backup singers, and more cleavage than a rock quarry…”

A native Texan, Smith clearly likes to have a good old time. He taught himself to play guitar at age 14, citing two motivating factors: “I thought the guitar would make girls pay attention to me, and George Strait played one.” Tickets: $29 and $39

Clint Black: 8 p.m. Friday, June 29

Clint Black, who exploded on the national scene in 1989 with four straight No. 1 country singles, continues to record, his latest album being “On Purpose,” his first new release in a decade.

“To me, it’s only a ‘comeback’ in that I’m putting out something new,” Black announced on his website. “As someone who has never stopped working, I don’t see me as having gone away, as I tour extensively, write and produce for television, films as well as other artists.” Tickets: $49 and $65

Ted Nugent: 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 4

To millions of music lovers, Ted Nugent has carved a permanent place in rock and roll history as the guitar-shredding showman, selling more than 40 million albums, performing more than 6,400 high-octane concerts, and continuing to set attendance records at venues around the globe.

From the ground breaking Amboy Dukes’ hit “Journey to the Center of the Mind,” to classics such as “Stranglehold” and “Cat Scratch Fever,” Damn Yankees chartbuster “High Enough,” and cult classic “Fred Bear,” Nugent’s no-holds barred career spans five decades and has been featured on A&E’s Biography and on VH1’s Behind the Music. He was named Detroit’s greatest guitar player of all time by readers of MLive.

Oh yeah, he likes to hunt. It should be an explosive Fourth of July at TJ’s Corral. Tickets: $59 and $79

Trace Adkins: 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14

A strong advocate for U.S. military personnel, Trace Adkins will perform this summer on his “How Did We Get Here” tour, which starts April 6, stopping here via bus, we suspect. Adkins will be an adviser for Team Blake on Season 14 of “The Voice,” which started Monday, Feb. 26.

Adkins also stars in a film released March 16, “I Can Only Imagine,” based on the 2001 hit song by the contemporary Christian group MercyMe. He portrays Scott Brickell, MercyMe’s manager. “I Can Only Imagine” was written by the group’s lead singer, Bart Millard, whose father died during his first year in college. The lyrics examine a look down from Heaven. Tickets: $59 and $79

Creedence Clearwater Revisited: 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12

Ready for some classic rock? Creedence Clearwater Revisited will make sure you are not stuck in Lodi again. The band includes two of the four original members of Creedence Clearwater Revival, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford, a Reno-Tahoe area resident.

Last year, the band delighted a crowd at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. Cook and Clifford continue to provide a solid rock and roll rhythm section, which was one of the finest of their era. In the Grand Theatre, Cook strutted around with a huge smile most of the time. Clifford sat stoic, pumping out a solid tempo that did not waver. Tickets: $59 and $75
