A fall filled with funk in the Crystal Bay Casino continues Friday with the Polyrhythmics. The free Crown Room show starts at 10 p.m.
The instrumental eight-piece band has furiously toured and recorded since forming in 2010.
Ben Bloom and Grand Schroff put together the band of talented musicians to create what they describe as a “clever world-beat orchestra.”
The Polyrhythmics have two full-length albums and and this year released its second EP. In November, the Seattle band will release its third album, “Octagon.”
It has more than 60 original songs from which to choose when it comes to Tahoe onstage. “Bobo” will be one of them.
Here’s lineup: Ben Bloom, guitar, Grant Schroff, drums; Nathan Spicer, keys; Lalo Bello, percussion; Jason Gray, bass; Scott Morning, trumpet; Elijah Clark, trombone; and Art Brown, sax and flute.
Rapplesauce will play the Red Room after-party.
The Crystal Bay show is the first in a weeklong tour that will make stops in Northern California and Oregon. To see the band’s entire schedule, click on the link HERE
